About

The artist

Formed in 2014 in rural Prince Edward Island, The East Pointers are one of Atlantic Canada's most celebrated musical exports. Founded by banjoist Koady Chaisson, fiddler Tim Chaisson, and guitarist Jake Charron, the trio reinvigorated traditional Celtic folk music with modern pop sensibilities, infectious rhythms, and sublime vocal harmonies. Their debut studio album Secret Victory won the 2017 JUNO Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year, followed by international acclaim for What We Leave Behind (2017) and Yours to Break (2019). Honoring the enduring legacy of founding member Koady Chaisson, the band continues to tour major festivals across North America, Europe, and Australia.
