About
The artist
Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra grew out of Montreal's Constellation scene in 1999, founded by Efrim Menuck with Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar. Across its changing lineups and aliases, the ensemble developed a singular blend of electric guitar, bowed strings, bass, drums, and group singing. Constellation's current artist page documents the band's ongoing work and public catalogue, while the artist-controlled Bandcamp page provides the current Montreal profile, releases, and public contact route. The catalogue spans the 2000 debut He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... through the 2014 album Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light on Everything and the Hang On To Each Other EP.
