The artist
Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra grew out of Montreal's Constellation scene in 1999, founded by Efrim Menuck with Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar. Across its changing lineups and aliases, the ensemble developed a singular blend of electric guitar, bowed strings, bass, drums, and group singing.
