The artist
Thor is a Vancouver heavy-metal project built around vocalist and performer Jon Mikl Thor. Since the 1970s, the act has combined hard-rock hooks, mythic imagery and theatrical feats of strength, earning a distinctive place in Canadian metal. Recordings such as Keep the Dogs Away and Only the Strong became cult favourites, while later albums extended the project’s larger-than-life style. Thor remains active with the 2025 album Rock the Universe and new 2026 releases. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram rather than unlicensed photography.
