About

The artist

Formed in Montreal, Quebec in 2003 by Vancouver Island musicians Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner alongside drummer Arlen Thompson, Wolf Parade quickly became one of the defining acts of the mid-2000s indie rock explosion. Signing to Sub Pop, their 2005 debut album Apologies to the Queen Mary—co-produced by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock—was universally hailed as an indie classic, propelled by the anthemic intensity of I'll Believe in Anything. Renowned for the dynamic creative friction between Krug's theatrical, keyboard-driven art-rock and Boeckner's urgent, gritty guitar work, the band released landmark records At Mount Zoomer, Expo 86, and Thin Mind to enduring international acclaim.
