The Story of the Release

Apologies to the Queen Mary is the landmark debut studio album by Montreal indie rock band Wolf Parade, released on Sub Pop Records. Co-produced by Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse, the record became a defining statement of the mid-2000s Montreal musical resurgence, featuring the dual songwriting and contrasting vocal deliveries of Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner. The album received universal critical acclaim, was nominated for the inaugural Polaris Music Prize shortlist, and spawned enduring indie classics including I'll Believe in Anything and Shine a Light.
