The Carillon

The Carillon is the University of Regina’s independent student newspaper, with current music features and an explicit campus and Regina community focus.

The Carillon is an independent, student-run newspaper serving the University of Regina and the wider Regina community. Founded in 1962, it operates as an autonomous non-profit organization, publishes biweekly during the academic year and distributes print and digital journalism. Its sections cover news, arts and culture, sports and health, opinion and graphics. A February 17, 2026 feature interviews composer and former music professor Ramsés Calderón about composition, marimba, Central American rhythms, music as storytelling, teaching, emotion and creative practice. The outlet also continued publishing current campus and community reporting through July 2026. Its contribution channel accepts original work only from current University of Regina students, faculty, support staff and alumni. Because that channel is not an artist or organization route for pitching music releases, it is not represented as a current music-submission service. Named staff addresses, role inboxes, phone data and street-address details are excluded.
