About

The artist

Charlotte Day Wilson is a Toronto singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose independent practice joins R&B, soul, electronic production, and jazz-informed arrangement. Raised in downtown Toronto, she studied classical piano and saxophone before developing her own recording process. Her 2016 EP CDW introduced Work and established a restrained, low-register vocal style, followed by Stone Woman in 2018. Wilson released her debut album Alpha through her Stone Woman Music imprint in 2021 and followed it with Cyan Blue in 2024. Her catalogue also includes collaborations with BADBADNOTGOOD, Daniel Caesar, Kaytranada, Syd, and SG Lewis. Cyan Blue earned a Grammy nomination, while Wilson expanded the record through touring and a 2025 orchestral concert at Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall. In February 2026, she released the seven-song project Patchwork, continuing a collaborative phase while retaining control over writing, production, and visual direction. Current interviews place Wilson in her Toronto apartment and document her continuing involvement in the city, including opening a Roncesvalles sandwich shop with local partners in 2025. These sources confirm Toronto as her present Canadian base.
