About

The artist

My Son The Hurricane is a brass-dance collective originating from St. Catharines and the Niagara region of Ontario. Founded by drummer and bandleader Danno O'Shea, the 12-piece powerhouse features a massive multi-horn brass section, dynamic dual drummers, and commanding vocalists that together generate an unrelenting fusion of funk, hip-hop, jazz, and dance-floor rock. Since debuting in 2011 with You Can't Do This, the band has built an international live reputation through relentless touring across Canada, the United States, and Europe, playing over 70 high-octane shows each year. With celebrated albums including Is This What You Want (2016), Ride the Bullet! (2019), and Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (2025), My Son The Hurricane is one of Canada's premier live festival draws.
