About
The artist
Koriass is a French-language rapper and songwriter based in Quebec City, Quebec. His official biography traces his first original song and early online rap-battle activity to 2001, followed by the independent EP Mort de rire in 2006. Disques 7ième Ciel added him to its roster in 2008 and released Les racines dans le béton, the first album in a catalog that later included Petites Victoires, Rue des saules, Love suprême, La Nuit des Longs Couteaux, the FouKi collaboration Génies en herbe, and Abri de fortune (pour fin du monde). Rue des saules and Love suprême each received the Félix for Hip-Hop Album of the Year, and Love suprême was nominated for Francophone Album of the Year at the 2017 JUNO Awards. Koriass also won the 2012 SOCAN Songwriting Prize for St-Eustache, while Printemps received a SOCAN Popular Song Award in 2025. SEPT ANS DE MALHEUR (titre temporaire) arrived through Disques 7ième Ciel on May 29, 2026. The 16-song album features St-Prince, Joudi, Suspek-T, Calamine, Marjolaine Beauchamp, Souldia, FouKi, Loud, and Daniel Bélanger. The exact Spotify identity contains 29 distinct primary album and single containers from 2008 through May 2026. MusicList normalizes them as nine album containers, one EP, and 19 singles: Spotify classifies the five-track Petit Love as a single, while Koriass's official site describes it as an EP. That official release page credits Koriass and Philippe Brault with co-production and credits Koriass as a songwriter. A June 2026 interview states that Koriass currently lives in Quebec City, resolving older references to Montréal-Nord and Saint-Eustache as birth and upbringing rather than current residence. Current official contact information names Disques 7ième Ciel for label, management, and booking. MusicList routes professional messages to the official contact page without republishing the email addresses or telephone numbers displayed there. Spotify media is displayed live with provider attribution and a monogram fallback.
